16" x 20" for $550 (about 700 pieces)
Q. What will it cost for drop out lettering?
A. Drop out lettering is particularly effective in parts of a puzzle where the
picture is unimportant. To produce these personalized puzzles, I modify one
of my existing designs to suit the project. There is a charge of $25. per
piece with a minimum charge of $50. per puzzle.
Q. I want to have a custom puzzle made. In what format do you accept images?
A. I can use a variety of formats to create a custom puzzle. They are:
- A photographic negative or slide: a negative is the best way to provide me with an image. I can then make a first-generation print in the size of the puzzle.
- A photographic print: a print of any size is ok, too. I would need to make a print of your print, to the size of your custom puzzle dimensions.
- A photographic positive (transparency): a transparency is slightly more costly and the image loses one generation of clarity. This requires that I make an inter-negative and print it from that.
- A digital image: a high-resolution digital image (600 dpi .tif or .eps files) works fine too. You can send it via e-mail or on a disk, and I have it output onto the same paper that I use for printing photos.
- Non-photographic materials: if your image is original art or original material, I recommend you have it photographed and send the photo to me. I can also photograph it for you.
